DJ Drama is one of HipHop's top producers who has joined the ranks of accomplished HipHop artists who have made the South their home. Most of the top names in the Southern Hip-Hop game can be found between Atlanta and Miami. He has recorded with some of HipHops top artists, including T.I., Lil Wayne, Young Geezy, Fabulous, Bow Wow, Two Chains, just to mention a few. Drama shares his musical talents in HOME, and shares his story of moving from Philadelphia to Atlanta. Similar to the Harlem Renaissance era during the Great Migration of the 20th century, when Harlem and Jazz was all the rage, now during this New Great Migration, the HipHop community is making its mark on the culture of the New South, and DJ Drama, like so many others, has made Atlanta the Mecca of their era.

ON MY WAY TO HARLEM
The Huffington Post calls Blue Note recording artist GREGORY PORTER "the brilliant new voice in jazz". For those in the know, Mr. Porter has taken the jazz world by storm, and is all the rage from New York City to Europe, Aisia and back. Where ever jazz music is being performed on the planet, his show is the hot ticket to buy. A singer's singer, songwriter, and performing artist of extraordinary story telling savoir-faire, with a voice bigger than life. When Gregory Porter sings he makes a song come alive.
His recently released single ON MY WAY TO HARLEM tells the poignant story of the gentrificaion of Harlem. One of the major "push factors" in this New Great Migration is the "gentrification" factor. The lyrics of Porter's song go straight to heart of an issue African Americans are living through in northern urban communities on a daily bases. When I first heard the song I immediately got in touch with Gregory. After our initial conversation, he gave me the green light to use his music. HOME is proud to have an artist of his artistic stature be part of the HOME soundtrack.
